The Affiliate Managers Best Practices Meeting in Orange County will be held at Friday, January 12, 2007, 3pm at Smarthome.
The address is 16542 Millikan Avenue, Irvine, CA 92606 (cross streets Jamboree and Barranca). Anyone interested in attending this free event should e-mail lmann@smarthome.com.
So join Lisa Mann and other affiliate managers for a discussion on best practices. This event is free.
There are also a few other get togethers in January for affiliate marketers.
The Asian Affiliate Marketing Conference/Dinner II takes place on Wednesday, January 17.
This Second Asia Pacific Affiliate Marketing Conference, will be held in Singapore again and aim to attract affiliates and merchants from around the region to gather and discuss affiliate marketing together. The event will presently be sponsored by AMWSO.com And ACCOR Asia Pacific.
There is no attendance cost for the event.
One of, if not the only, gathering of affiliates set in South East Asia (Singapore) . Meet like minded individuals and firms from around the Asia Pacific in Singapore for an evening of discussion, debate and dining in a casual setting. This year we will aim to kick off with a conference room setting at the Novotel Clarke Quay and then move on from there to Clarke Quay for dinner and drinks.

The dinner is on Saturday, January 20 and spots can be booked at the Affiliate Dinner site. If you go to one event this year, go to this one.Cost $60 in advance, $100 at the door (subject to availability). The month closes out with the Boston Affiliate Marketing Roundtable on Thursday, January 25.
Roundtable is a group of affiliate managers and affiliates that meet in a monthly roundtable open discussion to share tips, strategies and develop long term partnership with in the Boston affiliate marketing community.
Hosted at iBasis in Burlington, MA with a fridge full of drinks and snacks provided. Each Attendee will be given a slot of time to share tips and find support from fellow members. The group also provides a monthly check of support to your monthly tasks and goals

The Affstat Report 2007
Data for the AffStat 2007 Report has been collected and the report will be published in early 2007.
The survey covered the overall statistics for affiliate programs, as well as a number of issues that face affiliate managers. Areas covered in the survey included affiliate networks, staffing, affiliate recruiting, and management.
The survey question responses were broken out by affiliate program type: bounty, pay per lead, and pay per sale. The AffStat 2007 survey also includes a section where affiliates managers can sound off in their own words on a variety of industry issues.

Incidentally, a recent report published by the UK market for affiliate marketing will grow 60% in 2006, breaking through the £2 billion mark to an estimated value of £2.16 billion, according to research published in E-consultancy’s Affiliate Marketing Buyer’s Guide this week.
